What age is appropriate for Halloween Horror Nights 2023? ›

Halloween Horror Nights 2023 at Universal Studios Florida. "I will say, first off, that our event is labeled PG-13," says Sauls, reflecting the official language on the HHN website that reads, "WARNING: Event may be too intense for young children and is not recommended for children under the age of 13."

This year, we have 4 different scare zones which are: Ghostz, Toyz, Death Eaters and El Terror De Las Mommias. In past years, the scare zones of HHN have typically been the weak links of the event. While we are still loving our experiences in each zone, we still feel like this is still the case.

Yes, a selection of rides are available at both parks during Halloween Horror Nights. However, not all daytime experiences are available.

As such, HHN is legit scary. Inside all of the haunted houses, real people will jump at you, sneak up behind you and shadow you as you try to get from Point A to Point B. There will be scary sounds, special effects, wailing, screaming and general aural discomfort.

Expect to be terrified and harassed by creatures of the night. These scare actors come out of nowhere and have no illusions about respecting your personal space (although they are not allowed to touch you, and you are not allowed to touch them)!

If you only purchase a General Admission ticket for any of the Universal Studios theme parks, you must exit at closing time on Halloween Horror Nights dates. If you purchase a separate HHN evening ticket or a Day/Night ticket, you can remain in the park from opening to close.

Outside food & drinks are not permitted in the Theme Park. Food, drinks, bottles, recording/flash photography, flashlights or laser pens are not permitted in the Mazes.
