14 Exchange Radahn's Remembrance

Choose Between A Greatsword And An Incantation

After achieving the great feat of beating Promised Consort Radahn (the most difficult boss FromSoftware has ever made, if you ask me), you will get the Remembrance of a God and a Lord.

As with the other Remembrances, you can trade it to Enia in Roundtable Hold for one of three items: the Greatsword of Radahn (Lord) , the Greatsword of Radahn (Light), or the Light of Miquella incantation.

While the Greatswords have a similar moveset to the weapon you can obtain with the Remembrance of Starscourge Radahn, each has its own unique Ash of War, both being spectacular and especially enjoyable to use in PvP.

Along with the incantation, which emulates Miquella's beams of light in Radahn's second phase, cosplaying the Consort has never been more entertaining.

Of course, you could consume the Remembrance and award yourself 50,000 runes, but that might be the least effective and interesting use of all.

13 Look For All DLC Exclusive Items

The expansion is packed with unique items in each category, many of which can only be found if you are meticulous while exploring the Realm of Shadow.

The Furnace Golems in Shadow of the Erdtree, if you ask me, are not what the trailers promised.

With a couple of interesting exceptions, all eight encounters with these environmental bosses are resolved in the same way, so there's not a deep mechanical motivation to face them.

Despite this, the important thing is not the fights but the rewards. Each of these Furnace Golems drops one of Shadow of the Erdtree's new Crystal Tears, many of which are fun and influential enough to change your play style completely.

Therefore, if you need to refresh your gameplay experience, there is no better way than to do it through the Crystal Tears, especially the Deflecting Hardtear, which allows you to turn the game into Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

4 Find The Legendary Twinblade Euporia

The Most Hidden Weapon In Elden Ring

It is easier to summarize this recommendation as “find all legendary weapons”, but that goal is obvious. Instead, following the case of St. Trina, I wanted to put the spotlight on one item in particular: Euporia.

This is a legendary twinblade that, besides being powerful and cool, is the most hidden weapon in Elden Ring, even if you count the base game.

It's located in the most difficult Legacy Dungeon in the DLC. You have to go through a series of completely unexpected parkour sequences, which only the most attentive and perceptive players will be able to even figure out how to access.

Plus, if I told you to find all the legendary weapons, you would probably just go to a guide and be done with it, so the real challenge is finding Euporia completely on your own.

3 Discover The Shaman Village

A High Dose Of Lore

As I mentioned before, many aspects of Shadow of the Erdtree expand Elden Ring's lore, but the best and most exciting of them all is also the most subtle.

I want to avoid going into detail because, even though it's already common knowledge, you may not know how important The Shaman Village is to The Lands Between or how to get there.

As a result, I'll be extremely vague and just say that, for primarily narrative and emotional reasons, you need to visit this place. It's hidden away and doesn't have much of a reward (a talisman and a spell), but this recommendation goes way beyond gameplay.

2 Duplicate Your Remembrances

More Boss Weapons!

One of the most interesting environmental elements of the base game is the Walking Mausoleums—these giant stone entities that, once immobilized, allow you to duplicate a Boss Remembrance.

In Shadow of the Erdtree, we don't have the Walking Mausoleums but the Remembrance Duplication Coffins, which serve the same purpose.

There are three in the Realm of Shadow, and they're easy to miss because they're not inside a titanic construct, so you have to seek them out consciously.

Since the expansion brings a lot of fascinating boss weapons worth experimenting with, be sure to look for these coffins before you finish your DLC playthrough.

1 Start New Game Plus

It's Time To Become The Boss

A Souls experience isn't complete until you finish your first New Game Plus cycle. Easily overcoming all the challenges that once made you suffer is a vital part of the journey, even more so with the DLC.

Thanks to the new, overpowered weapons, it's never been more satisfying to return to a base game in FromSoftware's history. Everything feels slower and more predictable, effectively turning you, the player, into the ultimate boss.

It's curious to see how certain fights play out, considering the original Remembrances weren't designed with any of the expansion's arsenal in mind.

Finally, after going through the base game like a walk in the park, you should put the cherry on top by beating Promised Consort Radahn on the first try after he took you 100 attempts the previous time.
