In the RPG genre, it's a common trend to allow players to keep playing after they beat the final boss, granting them access to secrets and end-game content that lengthens their time with the video game.

Consequently, Elden Ring isn't only one of the best titles of all time, but also one of the densest regarding content, especially when considering its recent expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree.
Elden Ring: Hardest Legacy Dungeons, Ranked
From a walk in the park to godforsaken ruins, Elden Ring's main areas offer the biggest challenges of the game.
The DLC for FromSoftware's masterpiece is full of activities to experience and mysteries to discover, even if you have already defeated its last boss.
Therefore, if you want to fully enjoy all the content hidden in the Realm of Shadow, here are fifteen things to do after defeating Promised Consort Radahn in Shadow of the Erdtree.
15 Delve into the DLC Lore
Learn More About The Lands Between
Shadow of the Erdtree is an expansion that adds a remarkable amount of information about the world of Elden Ring, so there is a lot of lore to understand and contextualize.

As in the base game, you need to gather these details from different sources, having dialogues with NPCs and item descriptions at the narrative core.
At the same time, don't just stick to what you've experienced firsthand, but research other players' adventures and discuss them on social networks and forums.
In the end, Shadow of the Erdtree keeps the essence of building the story and its interpretation together with the community, so don't forget to share your findings and enjoy those of others.
14 Exchange Radahn's Remembrance
Choose Between A Greatsword And An Incantation
After achieving the great feat of beating Promised Consort Radahn (the most difficult boss FromSoftware has ever made, if you ask me), you will get the Remembrance of a God and a Lord.
As with the other Remembrances, you can trade it to Enia in Roundtable Hold for one of three items: the Greatsword of Radahn (Lord) , the Greatsword of Radahn (Light), or the Light of Miquella incantation.

While the Greatswords have a similar moveset to the weapon you can obtain with the Remembrance of Starscourge Radahn, each has its own unique Ash of War, both being spectacular and especially enjoyable to use in PvP.
Along with the incantation, which emulates Miquella's beams of light in Radahn's second phase, cosplaying the Consort has never been more entertaining.
Of course, you could consume the Remembrance and award yourself 50,000 runes, but that might be the least effective and interesting use of all.
13 Look For All DLC Exclusive Items
There Are Hundreds Of Unique Items
The expansion is packed with unique items in each category, many of which can only be found if you are meticulous while exploring the Realm of Shadow.
Between weapons, armor, spells, incantations, pyromancies, notes, consumables, and more, finding all the new items Shadow of the Erdtree has to offer can take dozens of hours.

However, the exploration in the DLC is so well-designed and oriented that discovering everything is an absolute delight. Therefore, be sure to check every corner of the map so you don't miss any interesting objects.
12 Collect Each DLC Larval Tear
Expand The Options For Your Builds
Since Shadow of the Erdtree includes multiple weapons and spells that completely change the available playstyles, finding all the Larval Tears should be one of your priorities.
If you want to fully exploit all the new possibilities, you'd better have at your disposal this wonderful item that allows you to relocate your stats and try other builds.
Along with those present in the base game, the DLC brings nine Larval Tears you can use to vary your gameplay, which I highly urge you to do so that you don't get stuck with what you already used in Elden Ring.

11 Collect All Scadutree Fragments & Revered Spirit Ashes
Achieve The Maximum Power Within The Realm Of Shadow
Shadow of the Erdtree features a different power system than Elden Ring, using Scadutree Fragments and Revered Spirit Ashes to balance the experience progressively.
Although regular levels are still important, the Realm of Shadow gives more value to these items, which are found both distributed throughout the map and as rewards after defeating certain enemies.
These will help you not only to increase your strength but also Torrent's, so it will make horseback fights even more pleasant.
If you are having trouble with optional bosses or simply want to be as powerful as possible, this task is a must.
10 Help Other Players
Jolly Cooperation Is The Way
✕ Remove Ads
You've already beaten Promised Consort Radahn, as well as many other bosses in Shadow of the Erdtree, so you know very well how formidable these foes can be.
The Soulsborne experience has always been one of community, sharing, and helping. Thus, engaging in that trend of solidarity is one of the best ways to re-experience the new content.
Plus, during the process, you will learn more about the bosses you help defeat. In the long run, that training will help you return to the DLC on a second journey, where the bosses will have more health and will do more damage.
9 Defeat All Major Bosses
Most Of Them Are Optional And Secret
We're all used to FromSoftware hiding their best bosses behind invisible walls, convoluted NPC questlines, and obscure gestures, but Shadow of the Erdtree took the concept to another level.
✕ Remove Ads
Of the 11 major bosses in the DLC, only three are mandatory, while the rest remain dormant behind the strangest requirements you could imagine. So, you will likely finish the expansion without having defeated all of them.
Considering several of these figures are incredibly tough bosses, trust me when I recommend you not to miss their encounters. It may take you a guide or two to reach them all, but it must be the first thing you prioritize after defeating Radahn.
8 Finish All NPCs Questlines
From Vile Dragons To Fingers' Grieving Mothers
As with the bosses, Shadow of the Erdtree features outstanding secondary characters, whose stories are as engaging as they are complicated.
In fact, both this point and the previous one are linked, since some bosses won't appear if you don't develop the questlines of certain NPCs, and others won't be as epic if they don't participate.

That said, once again, you'll probably need a guide to complete the quests, but once you know their stories and get their rewards, you'll know the effort will have been completely worth it.
7 Complete All Gaols, Mausoleums, And Ruined Forges
The Best Dungeons In The Game
While Elden Ring has obvious problems with dungeons given their repetitiveness, Shadow of the Erdtree reduces their number to increase their quality and originality.
The Gaols, Mausoleums, and Ruined Forges are the expression of this new and necessary novelty. Each type of dungeon has its own particularity that compels the player to delve into the map until they find every nook and cranny.
Between unique bosses, distinctive level designs, and legendary items, the incentive to visit these additional challenges is considerable and practically indispensable to having the true Shadow of the Erdtree experience.

6 Engage In PVP
Testing New Weapons And Builds
If I'm honest, I've never liked PvP in FromSoftware games. Especially after the last few installments, I've grown up, and my skills have become limited, so it's not a mode I usually enjoy.
However, the new weapons in Shadow of the Erdtree are so spectacular and fun that I did what I didn't do with the base game: I gave the player vs. player variant a shot, and I must admit it was a blast.
For those of you who are already PvP regulars, I shouldn't even say it. But, for those who are like me and prefer PvE, try giving the combat against other players a chance, and you'll realize how much fun it can be.
5 Defeat All Furnace Golems
Your Flask Of Wondrous Physick Will Thank You
✕ Remove Ads
The Furnace Golems in Shadow of the Erdtree, if you ask me, are not what the trailers promised.
With a couple of interesting exceptions, all eight encounters with these environmental bosses are resolved in the same way, so there's not a deep mechanical motivation to face them.
Despite this, the important thing is not the fights but the rewards. Each of these Furnace Golems drops one of Shadow of the Erdtree's new Crystal Tears, many of which are fun and influential enough to change your play style completely.
Therefore, if you need to refresh your gameplay experience, there is no better way than to do it through the Crystal Tears, especially the Deflecting Hardtear, which allows you to turn the game into Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
4 Find The Legendary Twinblade Euporia
The Most Hidden Weapon In Elden Ring
✕ Remove Ads
It is easier to summarize this recommendation as “find all legendary weapons”, but that goal is obvious. Instead, following the case of St. Trina, I wanted to put the spotlight on one item in particular: Euporia.
This is a legendary twinblade that, besides being powerful and cool, is the most hidden weapon in Elden Ring, even if you count the base game.
It's located in the most difficult Legacy Dungeon in the DLC. You have to go through a series of completely unexpected parkour sequences, which only the most attentive and perceptive players will be able to even figure out how to access.
Plus, if I told you to find all the legendary weapons, you would probably just go to a guide and be done with it, so the real challenge is finding Euporia completely on your own.
3 Discover The Shaman Village
A High Dose Of Lore
✕ Remove Ads
As I mentioned before, many aspects of Shadow of the Erdtree expand Elden Ring's lore, but the best and most exciting of them all is also the most subtle.

I want to avoid going into detail because, even though it's already common knowledge, you may not know how important The Shaman Village is to The Lands Between or how to get there.
As a result, I'll be extremely vague and just say that, for primarily narrative and emotional reasons, you need to visit this place. It's hidden away and doesn't have much of a reward (a talisman and a spell), but this recommendation goes way beyond gameplay.
2 Duplicate Your Remembrances
More Boss Weapons!
One of the most interesting environmental elements of the base game is the Walking Mausoleums—these giant stone entities that, once immobilized, allow you to duplicate a Boss Remembrance.
✕ Remove Ads
In Shadow of the Erdtree, we don't have the Walking Mausoleums but the Remembrance Duplication Coffins, which serve the same purpose.
There are three in the Realm of Shadow, and they're easy to miss because they're not inside a titanic construct, so you have to seek them out consciously.
Since the expansion brings a lot of fascinating boss weapons worth experimenting with, be sure to look for these coffins before you finish your DLC playthrough.
1 Start New Game Plus
It's Time To Become The Boss
A Souls experience isn't complete until you finish your first New Game Plus cycle. Easily overcoming all the challenges that once made you suffer is a vital part of the journey, even more so with the DLC.
✕ Remove Ads
Thanks to the new, overpowered weapons, it's never been more satisfying to return to a base game in FromSoftware's history. Everything feels slower and more predictable, effectively turning you, the player, into the ultimate boss.
It's curious to see how certain fights play out, considering the original Remembrances weren't designed with any of the expansion's arsenal in mind.
Finally, after going through the base game like a walk in the park, you should put the cherry on top by beating Promised Consort Radahn on the first try after he took you 100 attempts the previous time.
